This is commonly used to replace a #552 / 536 flasher if extra loudness is desired, and if the extra space is available to accomodate this flasher (which is taller than the #552/536). If your vehicle originally came with a short #552/536 flasher, PLEASE CHECK first to make sure that you have the additional space required to accomodate this unit.
