I ordered this as a spare gun for my ZD-985 desoldering station. The entire station works great and the extra gun is just as a cautionary item. The gun works with spectacular results, it also has replaceable parts (heat element, glass solder capture item, and even filters) all at a very reasonable price. I have had zero problems with this gun but just in case I have ordered 2+ of every part. The gun is at an amazing price and if you can afford it keep a spare around. I use the sparew if I am doing a lot of work and the original fills up with solder I just change guns an leave the cleaning until later. Get this item, you will not regret the purchase.
