Unlike many imported lamps, these high quality HID bulbs are certified DOT and meet the FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards). The main quality criteria is the ultra precise placement of the light source in the lamp, which in turn yields correct placement of the light source within the reflector housing to guarantee that the light is properly reflected onto the road surface instead of blinding drivers in oncoming traffic.
